Serve as a primary point of contact for all admissions requests and applications in the EdD, credential, MAED programs and others within Graduate and Adult Admissions department. Create and maintain records for all applicants while working closely with applications personnel. Manage the procedures and processes for all transcripts and student documents. Assist in providing leadership and support for admissions counselors and student worker staff within the Graduate and Adult Admissions department.

All activities of this position are to make a contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the university.


  • Responsible to the Director of Graduate and Adult Admissions
  • Interacts and functions cooperatively with all campus personnel



  1. Respond to all student applicant inquiries.
  2. Follow through with all application documents and requests.
  3. Facilitate connections with staff and faculty to ensure candidate needs are met.
  4. Maintain close communication with application coordinator.
  5. Input data on data base as appropriate to track student application progress.


  1. Occasional external events designed to increase enrollment (no more than 25% of job).
  2. Prospect for new students that would be a good fit into our program(s).
  3. Call, email, text, and use any other form of communication that might increase awareness of our program.


  1. Assist students in career planning (through the admissions process) in advising which credential best suits their needs now and in the future.
  2. Talk through career outlook for prospective students, advising them on what our program at CUI can do for them and why CUI is the right choice.


Other duties as assigned from time to time.


  1. Employees are responsible for complete cooperation with all aspects of the safety and health program, including compliance with all rules and regulations and fore continuously practicing safety while performing tasks.
  2. Supervisors are responsible for developing proper attitudes towards safety and health in themselves and in those they supervise, and for ensuring that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved, including themselves.


Assist in providing leadership and oversight for School of Education admissions counselors within the Graduate and Adult Admissions department. Direct student employees. Assist in providing support for School of Education personnel with regards to admissions process and procedures. Develop, plan, and administer MAED, credential and EdD Info Nights needed during each recruitment cycle. Assist in the management, communication and effectiveness of our K-12 Teachers Alliance partnership. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the university's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining student employees.

Bachelor's degree preferred with or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read, analyze and interpret university procedures, general information, educational publications, synodical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff, faculty, administration, students, families and the general public.


Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
