ROLE: The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for creating and/or implementing tools to gather data for the institution, design, and generation of requested reports, and provide consulting/assisting support for university offices and personnel related to assessment, accreditation, and data analysis. The Assessment Coordinator must be a self-starter able to adhere to deadlines, milestones, and performance requirements.
All activities of this position are to make a contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the university.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Coordinate the design, administration, and analysis of institutional surveys, course evaluations, and focus groups.
- Maintain data collection, reporting, and analysis for the university's assessment process.
- Monitor the completion of academic and co-curricular assessment activities and provide status reports.
- Maintain and update data files and supplementary databases.
- Assist in the development and implementation of relevant training activities.
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and preparing statistical information from multiple sources including surveys, studies, student information systems, and external agencies.
- Aid in establishing relationships among faculty and staff on assessment efforts.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support ongoing projects and efforts to support student learning and program effectiveness.
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- A master's level degree in Educational or Psychological research and/or statistics is strongly desired.
