You will play a role in some of the most important functions of a university by assisting with creating course schedules, managing the registration process, ensuring students meet enrollment expectations, maintaining the registration database, and coordinating student support in collaboration with other departments.  

In this role, you will also supervise student employees, which will include hiring, assigning work, and managing their performance.

About the Registrar's Office at Concordia:

The Registrar's Office originates and maintains official records of student files and transcripts, verifies eligibility of students for athletics, registration, and graduation. 

Concordia University Irvine is a Christian faith-based liberal arts institution of higher education, deep rooted and affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. CUI is located in the City of Irvine, nestled in the heart of Southern Orange County, and offers access to a variety of cultural and recreational amenities within the surrounding communities of Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach.

 

A day in the life of the Assistant Registrar for Records & Registration:

 

A typical work day in this position will consist of correspondence with students, academic advisors, and various departments on campus. Throughout the day, you will also be assisting students and faculty at the front counter and over the phone with various inquires about transcripts, enrollment verifications, registration, and other general inquiries.

This role also has many cyclical job duties due to the annual, academic rhythm of the university. At different times of the year, you will work on master course schedules edits, academic calendar set-up, Banner registration set-up, student registration, and academic probation.

 

What you need to be qualified for this job:

To be qualified for this job, you need to have a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and at least two years of office experience. You will also need to be a quick learner, a self-starter with strong initiative, well organized, and have the ability to following through independently on tasks.
