Concordia University Irvine in partnership with the Townsend Institute invites qualified applicants to teach online graduate coursework in the Masters in Counseling program. We seek flexible, self-aware, and student-centered candidates with the potential for excellence in teaching. The MA in Counseling program is seeking CACREP accreditation. For more information on our program go to 

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision (CACREP accreditation highly desirable)
  2. Professional identity as counselor
  3. Licensure in Professional Counseling
  4. Experience teaching in higher education 
  5. Effective integration of technology in instruction   

Preference will be given to applicants who meet the following criteria:

  1. Understanding of and appreciation for the CACREP accreditation process
  2. Experience with teaching in virtual platforms

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core and/or specialized courses in the Master's degree Clinical Mental Health counseling track. Applicants with particular preparation, interest, or experience in field experience (practicum and internship)research, career counselingpsychopharmacology and/or assessment are especially encouraged to apply.
